What is a heat sealer and why do you need one?
Heat sealers provide a quick and easy solution for sealing polythene bags.
Whether it’s food, jewellery, electronics, or handmade crafts, heat-sealed packaging will ensure your goods are protected from contaminants and damage during transit and storage. They can also help to extend the shelf-life of your products, ultimately minimising waste.
The machines we supply from Pacplus are all impulse bar heat sealers. These use heat to seal plastic packaging and only heat up when the machine is switched on and the sealing arm is engaged. This means the sealer doesn’t require any warm-up or cool-down time – reducing the risk of users burning themselves.
What are the benefits of Pacplus heat sealers?
While there are many types of heat sealers on the market – all of which possess unique features and benefits – Pacplus impulse heat sealers are among the best.
Incredibly sturdy and reliable, these allow you to consistently seal packaging materials in a couple of seconds – easily producing over 100 seals per day!
A layer of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) or Teflon is placed over the heating element of any Pacplus heat sealer to prevent the polythene film from sticking to the sealer when it’s hot.
Because these devices only use electricity when the jaws are clamped together, they are highly energy efficient – as opposed to constant heat sealers that deliver a continuous cycle of heat until switched off.
